What do you consider to be your best attribute?
My sensitivity. The depth of which is hidden underneath of a protective shell. I have learnt to love that about myself.
What’s a common misperception of you?
See that is a hard question for me to answer, because the way i’m feeing always affects someones perception of me. Either I am happy, friendly and funny and perceived as so. Timid, or yielding and perceived as weak or content and serious and perceived as cold or sad….the list could go on. You can always tell how someone thinks of you. But for me, the truth of it is that I am really sensitive so my moods are pretty up and down, I’m sure there are lots of misperceptions out there. I feel we all misjudge others from time to time, so I try not to take it to heart. It definitely makes life more interesting.
If you could have tea with one person, any person who ever walked this earth, who would it be and why?

What advice would you give your younger self?
Hang on. Things will get better. If you let yourself be free of what and who you don’t need anymore, and you will surprised at what you can accomplish.
P.S. Learn how to be your own best friend.
What has been your greatest challenge while pursing music?
The fears and anxieties that come with people seeing you, really seeing you. Thats the only music I have ever really been drawn to. Emotional rawness and depth, no matter the genre. Your listeners know when you are being honest. To really reach people and leave a mark you have to give it all you’v got and remember what it was you were trying to say in the first place. I guess sharing that vulnerability has been the most harrowing, but also liberating part for me because I am by nature a very guarded person.
What are you afraid of?
Oh boy, being chased by a wild animal, being chased by a wild human, losing my voice, breaking crucial bone, hurting peoples feelings, people hurting my feelings, bugs crawling in my bed biting me while i’m sleeping, ect…I really am a big chicken at heart. But I have gotten pretty good at facing fears. Pursuing music was one of them.
Do you ever feel anxious about performing on stage?
How do you deal with this kind of anxiety? Absolutley. It gets better with time but honestly I like feeling a little nervous before a show. Keeps you on your toes, and reminds you how much you care. But for times when it feels like to much, taking a few deep breaths and spending a few minutes alone has been a pretty frequent strategy for me.
